MTN Foundation Scholarship
MTN Scholarships, part of the Youth Development Cause, is an annual initiative designed to acknowledge and reward outstanding students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions.
The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship, currently in its 12th year, is open to eligible 300-level students pursuing Science and Technology-related programs in Nigerian public tertiary institutions, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
Each year, 300 successful students are granted scholarships valued at ₦200,000 annually until their graduation, provided they maintain the required academic performance.
The MTN Scholarship for Blind Students, now in its 10th year, is dedicated to qualified 200-level blind students pursuing various courses in Nigerian public tertiary institutions, spanning universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
This scholarship supports 60 successful blind students, awarding them ₦200,000 annually until they complete their studies, given they meet the specified academic standards.
The Top 10 UTME Scholarship, introduced in 2020, is the newest addition to the MTN Scholarships program. Each year, the top 10 highest-scoring candidates in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as announced by JAMB automatically qualify for this scholarship.
These successful candidates receive ₦200,000 annually from their first year through graduation, contingent on maintaining the required academic performance.
It’s important to note that the Top 10 UTME Scholarship is awarded without regard to the chosen course of study or the type of tertiary institution, whether public or private, in Nigeria.
Since its inception, the MTN Foundation has awarded over ₦3 billion in scholarships to 4,212 students.
Upon completing their studies, each scholar participates in the MTNF Skill Up Training to ensure they are well-prepared to compete in Nigeria’s labor market and contribute to its growth.
Additionally, scholars have access to further training and certification opportunities, such as PMI (Project Management Institute).
As members of the Alumni chat group, they also receive information about job openings and other relevant career-related updates. MTN Foundation Scholarship
